TRACEup

TraceUP is an AR art-tracing game built to support physical therapy for people with hand-motor disabilities. Through using a virtual hand-tracked brush to trace artwork onto a canvas, players can reduce mental stress and consistently practice fine motor skills, receiving a canvas displaying a visual result of their progress. The game features a variety of personalizable setting options, such as difficulty levels and canvas sizes, for players of different skill levels to practice fine motor skills at their own pace.

Controls:

• gaze interaction: alleviates stress on the arms by allowing players to select options in a menu using their gaze
• hand tracking: gameplay mechanics are centered around the Quest 3’s support for hand tracking for players who have trouble gripping controllers
• pause menu based on palm orientation: rotate palm to find a tracked UI that allows the player to pause the game without needing to hold a controller
